Houston Robotics is an independent media and resource platform dedicated to covering the robotics and automation industry in Houston and the broader Texas Gulf Coast region.
We exist because Houston's robotics story isn't being told well enough. This is a city that pioneered offshore energy, built the world's largest medical complex, and put humans on the moon — and it's now home to a fast-growing ecosystem of robotics companies, university programs, and innovators that deserves a dedicated platform.
What We Cover
Our coverage spans three primary sectors:
- Energy & Offshore — ROVs, pipeline inspection, refinery automation, and drone technology for the Gulf Coast's oil and gas industry
- Medical & Life Sciences — Surgical robotics, lab automation, rehabilitation systems, and AI diagnostics from the Texas Medical Center ecosystem
- Industrial & Manufacturing — Cobots, autonomous mobile robots, port automation, and systems integration across Houston's industrial base
